Seoul offers condolences over Kim's death

People watch a TV news report on the death of DPRK leader Kim Jong-il, at an electronic shop in Seoul December 19, 2011. Seoul shares fell sharply on Monday after DPRK television said Kim Jong-il had died, sending key large-cap stocks including Samsung Electronics tumbling.

SEOUL - The Republic of Korea (ROK)'s minister in charge of inter-Korean affairs on Tuesday offered condolences to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) over its leader Kim Jong-il's death announced Monday by the DPRK's media.
