On June 29, a digital teaching platform dedicated to providing theoretical knowledge and practical exercises for non-computer science majors, especially students majoring in social sciences related to public governance, was officially launched at Xiamen University (XMU).
Professor Yu Wenxuan, dean of the School of Public Affairs at XMU, introduced the development process, architecture, and future development direction of the platform to the guests at the event.
He stated that the platform is the first in China to be jointly developed by the humanities and social sciences institute and an artificial intelligence (AI) enterprise based on domestic computing power and local large models for teaching and research.
Yu also demonstrated how to use AI to empower the writing of an MPA Master's thesis in public management through training large models and keyword engineering.
The "AI quotient" is highly important for scientific research and talent development in the field of public governance.
AI empowers higher education, and the "AI quotient" will be used to cultivate a new type of talent. The release of the "AI + public governance digital teaching platform" is expected to further promote the transformation of XMU's public governance discipline in the era of AI.
