A volunteer service team that will promote simingkuaibao, the official WeChat account of Siming district, was also established at the launch ceremony.
Simingkuaibao presently has more than 760,000 followers, three-quarters of the district's population.
Located in Shapowei, a place which invokes a sense of nostalgia among many locals, the convergence media platform of Siming will be further developed into a regional mainstream promotion platform, an integrated service platform, and a community information hub.
Siming currently has a presence on apps likes WeChat, Weibo and Douyin (known as TikTok outside of China) as well as web-based platforms such as People.com.cn, Fjsen.com and Xmnn.cn.
Since last year, the Siming convergence media platform has launched nearly 40 promotional activities to showcase the center's work.
The self-help mini-game "Escape Treasure" that was published on simingkuaibao to raise awareness of disaster prevention and mitigation garnered more than 1.2 million visits.
To help the city resume production and work, the district hosted seven livestream sessions to promote products, in turn generating 150 million yuan ($21.6 million) in consumption.
With simingkuaibao as a brand core, the convergence media platform will tell stories of Siming and continuously improve its communication capabilities, influence and credibility so as to promote the high-quality development of the district.
