Chongqing hosted an emergency response competition in Liangjiang New Area on Dec 17, liangjiang.gov.cn reported.

Liangjiang General Aviation Group sent two helicopters to take part in the contest.

So far, Chongqing General Aviation has allocated over 100 technicians and 20 pilots for emergency rescue. The helicopters used are mainly models Enstrom 480B, Bell 407GX and Bell 412EPI.

Liangjiang General Shipping Group has been working on emergency rescue throughout this year. In March, the company held an emergency rescue drill with the Chongqing Fire Brigade using its Bell 407GX helicopter.

In April, the Enstrom 280FX helicopter succeeded in its first forest-fire prevention task, marking the beginning of an era of using helicopters for emergency rescue.

Helicopters, because of their flexibility, play an important part in identifying emergencies and in post-disaster reconstruction.

Chongqing General Aviation will utilize more helicopters to improve Liangjiang companies’ emergency rescue capabilities.
