A 55-inch device highlighting the incorporation of intelligent interaction into retail co-developed by BOE and Intel, made its debut at InfoComm China 2017 which took place in Beijing, Xinhua reported on April 14.

The product has a 55-inch FHD interactive multi-touch screen with up to 60 touch points on the screen. It is equipped with a SDM (smart display module) co-developed by BOE and Intel. The chip inside is called Kaby Lake, the latest product released by Intel.

The device can be used for calculations, such as calculating customer data and trade statistics. Also, the device will recommend products to customers based on big data analysis.

BOE has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Intel, targeting the R&D of intelligent interaction products like this in different sizes to be applied in internet of things (IoT) markets including supermarkets, physical stores and tourism. Also, the two will partner with app developers in related fields in the near future.

The exposition, which ran from April 12 to 14, displayed the world’s latest achievements in the professional audiovisual (pro-AV) and information communication technology (ICT) industries.

It is an annual event held by InfoComm Asia, one of the region’s preeminent organizers of tradeshows for the pro-AV and ICT industries. Each show comprises a trade exhibition and summit, both of which bring together industry players and decision-makers.
