The Beijing People's Workers' Stories League came to the Beijing Economic Development Area on Nov 7 to spread positive energy by sharing moving stories of front-line workers.

Inheriting intangible heritage to demonstrate craftsmanship

Zhang Na, a worker from Tongrentang Chinese Medicine, spoke on the theme of Chinese medicine's inheritance to celebrate Chinese medical workers' excellent spirit; Bian Hao, from Beijing Construction Engineering Group shared a story of Guo Xiaojun, a communist in Yan Qing district who guided villagers out of poverty and into prosperity; Zhang Chunlin from Beijing Yiqing Holding Co., Ltd shared a story showing his colleague Li Qi’s cautious and conscientious nature.

Craftsmanship must be inherited by ordinary people; it's the ordinary workers who will write the next chapter in modern craftsmanship.

Craftsmanship in transportation industry

On Nov 9, the Beijing People's Workers' Stories league gave workers from Capital Engineering & Research Incorporation Ltd meaningful accounts of work in transport areas. The stories illustrated how workers in the Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport, highway tollbooth operators, bus drivers and taxi drivers try their best to enthusiastically serve all consumers.

Everyone present was touched by the stories.

On Nov 10, the stories league from the Beijing Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning presented talks showing the warmth of workers in the health area.

Doctors, nurses, medical technicians, emergency officers and laboratory staff shared their daily lives. Yuan Enze, a nurse from Beijing University people's hospital emergency room, described the feelings and events of her job; Jiang Lei, a nurse from the Beijing Blood Center donated blood several times to save patients; Sun Yan, a staffer in the emergency response office shared the daily repetitive tasks involved in her work.

They may be ordinary workers, but they have an extraordinary working spirit.
