Gulangyu

The ticket price to the Gulangyu scenic spot is 50 yuan/person (including ferry costs and Haoyue Park ticket). The spot is located in Xiamen, Fujian province and features Gulangyu festivals and Taiwan's culture. It has a long history and many unique characteristics arising from strong local customs and traditions.

There are small shops everywhere in Gulangyu where you can buy local products such as crafts, calligraphy, beads, carved lacquer, painted sculptures, ceramics and so on. Gulangyu is famous for "dao", or piano souvenirs, such as wooden penholders, key chains, printed boxes, and pen kits; all are of superior materials and fine workmanship. In addition, you can also buy folders of memorable Gulangyu post office stamps .
Gulangyu leads the way in shopping streets full of restaurants and has numerous dishes apart from seafood.
Local Transportation:
Take any of buses Nos 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, 12, and 25 along Lujiang Road, and then the ferry. The ferry ride is about 5 minutes from Gulangyu pier. The return fare is eight yuan.
Area traffic:
Gulangyu Island Road has a total length of six km. Walking along it is a good way to explore the island and its many beauties.
Xiamen has been named a national sanitary city. It encourages tourists as well as residents to keep the city clean and tidy. The municipal government also prohibits smoking in public places and offenders may be punished. "No Smoking" signs are prevalent. Travel accident insurance may be purchased for as little as 20 yuan.
