Jilin's visa policy expected to attract more top professionals
Jilin province has announced a new visa policy and relaxed visa restrictions for top?professionals coming to work there, chinanews.com reports on Aug 1, noting the policy allows for a longer stay for?top professionals?and their spouses and children, and allows for them to qualify for a residence permit for 5 years (as opposed to a limit of 180 days each time) or a residence certificate that is valid for two to five years.
The policy also makes the visa procedures quicker and easier. Sector of exit and entry administration of Jilin public security department will open a Green Channel so the foreigners can avoid the trouble of queuing up.
Jilin says that making things more convenient for top foreign experts will attract more of these people and it is significant for the revitalization of the province’s economy, according to Han Mu’en, vice-head of provincial public security department.
