The 2016 Yunnan Cultural Industry Expo is ready to debut in the Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center on Aug.11.

The five-day-long expo will open seven pavilions displaying items from South and Southeast Asia, and Kunming and other cities. A range of activities will be held including an outfit design competition for couples, a cultural tourism investment symposium, “Internet Plus” activities of cultural tourism and an embroidery masters'contest. About 1,500 cultural innovative items from China's many provinces and cities will shine at the expo.

Over 150 contestants from Yunnan's 40 villages participated in a recent embroidery preliminary appraisal.

Many online cultural goods store owners will take part in the “Internet Plus” activities to share their entrepreneurship experience and hold an auction for their products. The activities will strengthen the tie between high-quality cultural products and e-commerce.
