Recession這個詞在近兩年被提及的次數(shù)恐怕難以計算，而自2008年起的大范圍裁員則是這個recession的一個直接后果。在這個過程中，在職場打拼的人都不容易。不過，有證據(jù)表明，金融危機對男性的影響遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)大于女性。男性所從事的工作受經(jīng)濟衰退影響嚴(yán)重，而女性卻能在失敗后很快找到新工作。所以，就有了man＋recession得出的mancession這個詞。
Mancession refers to a recession that affects men more than women. Also called "hecession".
男人衰退（mancession）指對男人的影響多于女人的經(jīng)濟衰退，也叫做hecession。
It turns out that men have been hardest-hit by job losses in the last year, largely because they dominate the sectors where layoffs have been most widespread. So as the total number of available jobs has gone down, the share of remaining jobs held by women has increased.
現(xiàn)實表明，男人們在去年普遍受到失業(yè)的重創(chuàng)，很大程度上是因為他們所主宰的行業(yè)裁員幅度最廣。因此，隨著就業(yè)崗位總數(shù)的減少，女性在崗的比例卻有所增加。
It's a recession that hurts men much more than women, and we are allegedly in the worst mancession in recent history. Eighty percent of job losses in the last two years were among men, and it could get worse.
這次衰退對男性的危害遠(yuǎn)大于女性，而我們正處于近期歷史上最嚴(yán)重的男人衰退時期。在過去的兩年中，有80％的裁員是涉及到男性的，而情況可能還會更糟。
