A total of 16 major projects costing 25.57 billion yuan ($3.62 billion) were inked at the Tai'an sub-venue of a mega investment promotional event.

The Second Conference of Great Business Partners and the International Summit on Innovation and Development for Youth Entrepreneurs opened on June 30 via online channels across Shandong's 16 cities.

The event involves thousands of participants and is an effort by Shandong to further open up and bolster its high-quality development.

Cui Honggang, Party secretary of Tai'an, and Zhang Tao, mayor of Tai'an, attended the conference. More than 300 guests from leading enterprises across China also took apart via online videos.

Cui delivered a keynote speech and introduced the city's business environment to attendees.

Tai'an government has rolled out a series of measures to support the development of local companies, boost the private sector, and optimize services to provide a better business environment for enterprises.

In addition, a fund of 600 million yuan was set up to attract high-end talent, and the construction of a national printing and dyeing technology innovation center has been approved in the city by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
