China, Mongolia seek more judicial cooperation

China and Mongolia look forward to a closer judicial relationship, according to a meeting between Zhou Qiang, chief justice and president of the Supreme People's Court (SPC) and Lundendorj. N, chairman of the Judicial General Council of Mongolia, on Nov 27.

At the meeting, Zhou welcomed the Mongolian judicial delegation and outlined China's legal construction and judicial work.

He said China has succeeded in comprehensively deepening reform and upholding the rule of law in the past 40 years under the reform and opening-up policy.

China's courts are deepening judicial reform and strengthening informatization to promote a modern judicial system and trial capacity, and trial quality and judicial credibility kept improving, he added.

Zhou praisedMongolia's achievement in judicial reform and expressed his willingness to see further cooperation in judge training and case study as well as a closer relationship between the judiciaries of the two countries.

Lundendorj. N admired China's achievement in judicial openness and transparency and expressed his interest in more judicial exchanges.
