Meng said that the two countries are “sincere friends” and “intimate partners”, and that their comprehensive strategic relationship has maintained momentum over time.

He noted that China hopes to boost pragmatic cooperation with Kazakhstan in various areas and promote linkage between China’s Silk Road Economic Belt and Kazakhstan’s "Nurly Zhol", or "path to the future", a new economic policy that aims to transform Kazakhstan into one of the five fastest-growing countries in Asia.

Deepening judicial cooperation will facilitate development of bilateral ties, Meng added.

He hoped the two countries’ top courts will improve their bilateral and multilateral communication and cooperation mechanisms and enhance their judicial abilities, providing a good legal environment for economic and social development in both countries and the Asian region as a whole.

Kazakhstan attaches great importance to ties with China and stands ready to cooperate more in judicial affairs and improve the bilateral relationship.

Zhou Qiang, president of China’s top court, and court vice president Jing Hanchao also attended the meeting.
