Datong gets tourism potential award

The 15th China International Real Estate and Construction Technology Fair opened in the Shenzhen Expo Centre, on Dec 11, and that evening, the city of Datong earned the "City with the most tourism development potential" award, the only city to get the most-expected "2013 special prize" of the grand awarding ceremony. Datong, featurd in its unique culture and developmental vitality, was conferred the most important prize.

The China International Real Estate And Construction Technology Fair was hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the China Real Estate Association with support from media organizations, such as CCTV, Phoenix TV, the Travel Channel, People Net, Xinhua Net, and many others, and is the largest, most valued fair in the real estate business, as the "Olympics of Real Estate" in China.

On hand for the ceremony was Cao Xuecheng, deputy mayor of Datong and a member of its Party committee, who opened his speech by welcoming everyone, then went on to talk about promoting urban development through cultural tourism and the "China New City and Urban Investment and Development Forum 2013". He also described his city's cultural resources, unique tourist attractions, and investment opportunities, by emphasizing the fact that it is not only a good tourist city, but also an ideal place for investment, and an international destination, during an interview with PhoenixNet.

Cao also took time to talk with representatives of the China Real Estate Association, Wanda Group, Beijing Suncity Group, Hong Kong's Causeway Bay, and Kunting Investment and Management Group about investing in tourism, culture, health, and care for the elderly, in Datong.
