Shanghai's financial hub Lujiazui has begun accepting applications for its financial talent training program and will close on Feb 10. Successful applicants will take part in a two-week field training program in London from March 22 to April 1.
The program is a joint effort of Lujiazui, the City of London, and related industry organizations. It has been held two times previously, in March and September of 2016. The program seeks to improve the skills of Lujiazui's financial professionals and promote exchange and cooperation between Chinese and British financial institutions.
This year's program focuses on direct investment, merger and acquisition (M&A), and private equity. It is targeting managers from a wide range of fields such as insurance, wealth management, securities, pension investment, equity investment, venture capital, and banking.
The program has selected 13 institutions based in the United Kingdom to act as partners. These include nine equity investment institutions such as Europe's largest technology accelerator space for finance, retail and future cities technology companies Level 39. It also includes UK-based venture capital firm Balderton Capital and four professional service agencies such as Norton Rose Fulbright, a global law firm.
Lectures will be delivered by these top UK institutions and other exchange activities will take place for the benefit of the trainees.
