The network speed of Jiangqiao is currently being enhanced, and users can expect to enjoy an average speed of around 100 megabits per second. And the information superhighway construction in Jiangqiao town will be completed by the end of this year.
More than 90 percent of communities of Jiangqiao and Zhenxin areas have benefited from the network service.
Broadband users in the two areas have reached more than 35,000 households, which is the most populated part of Jiading district since 2001, and many local users are frustrated with the lower Internet speed and demand higher data rate connections.
“We have tried our best to improve the data transmission rate on broadband, however, the network speed will never keep up with users’ growth,” a technical staffer from China Telecom said.
“When someone uses the super high-speed broadband, the online transaction could be done under 1 second, and they will never have to worry about server stability,” said the source.
According to a Jiading news report, the new high-speed technique could also be used in security video surveillance and bill payments.
