The Eighth World Confucian Conference is held in Qufu, the hometown of Confucius, from Sept 20 to 21, themed "Confucianism and a community of shared future for mankind".
It is jointly organized by the Chinese Ministry of Culture, Shandong Provincial Government, the Chinese National Academy of Arts, Shandong University, Jinan municipal government and the Confucius Institute.
The event gathers more than 600 domestic and international experts and scholars to discuss the recent hot topics regarding Confucianism.
