The Dandong Traffic Police put forward 12 measures in 2012 to prevent traffic accidents and improve management and service for vehicles and drivers.
The 12 measures include: increased training for drivers and driver examinations; installing 24 other signal lights; adding and reconstructing 192 electronic monitoring points; building 30 small parking lots; setting isolation facilities in the middle of roads; and optimizing signal timing at the intersections of arterial roads and collector streets.
The Dandong traffic police department will continue to carry out the construction of electronic monitoring on highways, the urban intelligent traffic system construction and the application of a comprehensive platform for traffic management. A working system of connecting the command center and the traffic police on duty should be established with the help of video monitoring. The front traffic police should also be equipped with recording instruments for the convenience of their work.
