On Feb 28, 2012, the four-people delegation of Kim II-sung Socialist Youth Alliance of Sinuiju of North Pyongan, Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) had a two-day visit in Dandong, Liaoning province. Song liyue, a standing committee member of the Dandong CPC Municipal Committee and head of the city's publicity department met the delegation.
Song and the delegation leader exchanged work experiences with teenagers and youth. She introduced the work in Dandong city and the contributions that more than 400 thousand Dandong young people made to the economic and cultural development of the city.
Song marveled at the achievements that the DPRK has made after seeing an artist performance by the pupils. She hoped the literature and art resources of DPRK will be introduced to Dandong through exchanges and visits of this kind. Dandong will promote its local arts to DPRK and strengthen exchanges and development between the two countries and two cities.
"The friendship between China and DPRK has lasted from generation to generation. We hope more exchanges of youth activities will be conducted," said Song Liyue.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the Dandong Youth Palace and the Dandong No 2 Middle School. They had a chance to see the educational development and progress in Dandong.
