The signing ceremony of 2011 China Dandong Yalu River International Tourism Festival was held at Dandong's Crown Plaza Hotel on Sept 10. The city's senior officials, Shi Guang, Li Shumin and Yu Huaile, attended the ceremony.
During the festival, 38 economic and trade projects were signed with a total investment worth $1.87 billion, up by 43.8 percent over the same period last year. They included 19 foreign investment projects, totaling $1.5 billion, and 19 foreign trade projects, with turnovers valued at $380 million.
The projects include the Dingxiangshan real estate development project, logistics park infrastructure project, Sheraton Hotel construction, land consolidation infrastructure project, the clean energy project in the Dagushan economic zone and steel and iron logistics project.
Export products involved in the foreign trade projects include wild raspberries and blueberries, dried chicken breasts, frozen cooked clams, architecture software and electrical appliance components.
