Industrial checks moving ahead in Jilin

The city is starting 293 large projects this year, at a total cost of 104 billion yuan ($17 billion), with the focus on urban infrastructure and livelihood and helping local enterprises save energy, improve technology, do new product R&D, and expand its market shares in China. In infrastructure, one major project involves an underground pipe system that takes into consideration overall city planning and real estate development and water supply.
The city is located in China's corn belt and has abundant agricultural resources, which is good for agricultural product processing, so the team spoke about intelligent improvements, new business models, expanded industrial chains and added value. Other projects include a logistics economy with a land-water-air transportation network, and an inland port for e-business and customs services, and the Hada Mountain hydraulic engineering project improving regional water recycling, repairing the ecology, and for local economic development.
