Seven Jilin scholars honored with national award

Seven scholars from Jilin province are selected to the 2014 National Baiqianwan Talents Project and are also honored as National Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contributions, according to a China’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Secuirty report.
?These finalists, mainly from Jilin-based institutions, will receive a lifelong monthly allowance for 500 yuan ($80) from the provincial government, and other benefits including free-training and paid holidays.
There have been 34 Jilin-based scholars being included in the Project since 2000.
The Project, which aims to select young intellectuals who can take the lead in the realms of science and technology, added 390 finalists this year.
