Sanqing Mountain builds a green eco-tourism area

To build a green eco-tourism area, the world natural heritage site, Sanqing Mountain, has been vigorously increasing its green coverage and tourist taste in recent years.

The area plans to make investments in greening and afforestation. It will spend 20 million yuan ($3.17 million) on planting 10,000 trees that include gingko trees, camphor trees, osmanthus trees and carpe myrtle trees. Tourists will feel as if they are in an ecological green park while travelling the Sanqing Mountain.

On both sides of the ring road of the Sanqing Mountain, another six million yuan will be used in planting ornamental camphor, blueberry and magnolia trees with bushes. Road side slopes will be decorated with parthenocissus tricuspidata and Jasminum mesnyi. The plantings along the ring road are designed to be coordinated with the eco-tourism area.
