A flower viewing activity called "Enjoy Zhangpu" was launched in early spring, three weeks earlier than last year. The activity attracted many children and their parents as well as municipal and local media.
The first stop of the activity was Shangkun's exquisite orchard. Children enjoyed blooming peach blossoms and pear blossoms, while adults relived their childhood days in the game zone. They left the orchard with souvenirs of pressed flower bookmarks.
The activity then moved to Sanjiacun waterscape peach orchard, which had been recently awarded as a provincial four-star scenic spot. Visitors enjoyed a "Zhangpu feast" for lunch, tasting local food. After the feast, they appreciated flowers in full bloom in the peach orchard.
The next stop of the activity was the Taichi water village of China—Jiangli. After praying in Dongyue Temple, visitors visited the rape flower field behind the village, enjoying the beautiful scenery.
The next destination was Zhangpu strawberry base. For most of the children, it was the first time they were able to pick strawberries. They really enjoyed the harvest.
It meant a lot to participate in such an activity. It entertained the children and provided a chance for parent-child interaction, some parents said.
The spring flower viewing activity still has several follow-up activities, including "orchard baby adventurers", "self-entertainment games for children" and "self-made pressed flower bookmarks". The "Enjoy Zhangpu" activity served as a prelude to ecological tourism in the Year of the Snake.
