A Mongolian jockey hastily hands over the relay baton to their teammate during the 7,400m medley relays at the Ninth Traditional Games of Ethnic Groups competitions held in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on July 14. The horseback relay races enticed thousands of audience to the stadium in Hulunbuir to view the adept horsemanship and Mongolian ethnic athleticism. Moreover, men and women were allowed to work as a team or compete during the race. Apart from horse races, lots of traditional ethnic sports were held in the four-day event, including Mongolian wrestling, Mongolian chess, camel racing, high swing, archery, foot shuttlecock, and Mongolian boomerang.
