When a freight train left the city of Chifeng's bonded logistics transportation base in Inner Mongolia, on May 17, it was the first Chifeng-Manzhouli-Russia international run, rolling 9,000 kilometers for 10-12 days to reach its destination.
With this first successful operation, trains will leave here for Russia, Belarus, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands and other places once a week. And, thanks to a sea-railway combination, products from all over Inner Mongolia, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, or as far away as Jiangsu and Zhejiang province, can be shipped to foreign countries among the bulk cargo.
And, at the same time, auto parts, wood, food and other goods from Russia and the European Union can be shipped to all parts of China through the Chifeng bonded logistics center.
