Five Chinese autonomous regions -- Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Guangxi, Ningxia and Tibet – have arranged a media tour with their representatives to get a look at the lives of their respective ethnic groups, the latest of which has taken them to a folk arts museum of the Dong people, in Guangxi, on April 18.

The media personnel spoke with Yang Siyu, a local craftsman, and they picked up a lot from him on the ethnic group's unique wooden structures and dwellings that are considered a major part of Chinese cultural heritage.

The tour started a year ago in August with backing from the Inner Mongolia Beifang Xinbao news outlet, the region's cyberspace administration, and the Mengniu Diary Co, with help from news outlets in the other four regions.
