Baotou, Hohhot and Ordos among top 100 most competitive cities

The cities of Hohhot, Baotou and Ordos, all located in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, were named among the top 100 Chinese Cities' for comprehensive competiveness and sustainable competiveness in 2014, according to the report of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

Baotou took the 54th place out of 294 cities for comprehensive competiveness, while Ordos was 65th and Hohhot 79th. Among the 289 cities that contested for sustainable competiveness, Hohhot was listed at 45th place,?and the other two were 49th and 63rd.

Chinese Academy of Social Sciences?also made a list of deposits per capita. Inner Mongolia was listed 14th among the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities with a deposit of 29,944.64 yuan ($4,827.07) per capita.

The?organization has considered six indicators to scale the report's lists, including competiveness on ecology, culture and information.

Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Shanghai were the top three cities in the report's comprehensive competiveness list.
