Arxan customs goes into operation

(chinadaily.com.cn)

Updated: 2015-03-24

Arxan customs, which is subordinated to Manzhouli customs in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, was approved by the General Administration of Customs and officially put into operation on March 16.

Located in Hinggan League's Ulanhot, Arxan customs will mainly be in charge of responsibilities like customs clearance and supervision of exit-enter transport vehicles, goods and other subjects, processing trade, bonded supervision, taxes collection, smuggling inspection and prevention, customs inspection and auditing within its jurisdiction.

Arxan Port is an important Mongolia-oriented port in the customs' jurisdiction. Located in the Northeast China Economic Zone, it has an advantageous geographic location. This port borders Mongolia's Songbeir Port with a China-Mongolia border extending 122.5 kilometers. It is the first opening-up port in Hinggan League.

As Arxan customs goes into operation, the foreign trade enterprises in Hinggan League can handle customs business in Ulanhot and enjoy customs clearances conveniences, which will not only save time but also costs.

Meanwhile, customs will work to streamline the procedures and promote the open economy.

With the heating-up of China-Mongolia trade, the opening of Arxan customs will be a new driving force for the implementation of "One Belt, One Road" initiatives and Inner Mongolia's development strategy.
