The city of Guiyang, Guizhou province which will be playing host to the 6th China International Alcoholic Beverage Expo, Sept 9-12, 2016, says it is hoping to build on its success at previous sessions held in the city.
This exhibition had its first show in 2011 as China's only national liquor industry show and the 5th expo this past year, saw 108 projects signed, worth more than 113 billion yuan ($18.4 billion). So, Guizhou wants to use it to attract more overseas companies to help it grow.
At the last opening ceremony, Guizhou's governor, Chen Min'er, said, "We will focus on quality and develop many products to meet different consumer needs, and extend our influence."
Also at the last expo, there were more than 900 alcoholic drinks producers from almost three dozen countries and regions taking part, with around 12,000, an all-time high.
