Hui Xuejing, a member of the standing committee of the Fujian Provincial Committee for Discipline Inspection, visited Pingtan on August 6 and 7 to survey the island county's implementation of the "mass line" campaign..

The "mass line" is a year-long educational campaign launched by the Communist Party of China in June in a bid to strengthen Party-people relations.

Hui visited settlement houses that are under construction in Lancheng district on Tuesday morning, and asked workers to ensure the quality of the project. She also visited two community health stations – in the villages of Shanghou and Wuxing - with the aim of gaining a better understanding of the requirements and issues facing local residents.

The next day, Hui headed to the Pingtan branch of TPK Holding (TPKP) - a Taiwan touch panel maker - and the Liya Shipyard, and urged them to continue their efforts for Pingtan's development.
