The 2015 Jinjiang Footwear International Exposition will hold a series of events to guide industrial upgrading and optimization and encourage innovative entrepreneurship.
The expo, themed “Focus on economic ‘new normal’, support footwear industry to leap forward”, held a press conference in Beijing on April 7, jointly with the 2015 Fujian Industrial Design Competition and the Min-Tai Food Trade Fair. More than 60 Chinese media outlets were present at the conference.
During the press conference, Jinjiang mayor Liu Wenru said that the city has long maintained economic and cultural exchanges with the countries and regions along the “Belt and Road”, which refers the the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.
He said the footwear, clothes and processed food manufactured in Jinjiang had been sold to many countries in Asia and Europe, and this year’s footwear expo will also draw many enterprises from Italy, German, India and other foreign countries.
Liu also said the expo will hold a series of events to spotlight innovation, new types of business and youth entrepreneurship.
The 2015 Jinjiang Footwear International Exposition, lasting three days from April 18 to 21, will attract more than 500 enterprises to exhibit or purchase. The Taiwan delegation has booked 80 booths on the expo, hitting a historical high since the Taiwan Pavilion was established in 2005.
The expo will showcase the latest techniques and trends in the footwear industry, with the smart manufacturing equipments and techniques, especially the industrial robot production line, to be the highlights.
Some other events will also be held to enrich the expo, including the “East Asia’s Cultural Capital?Footwear Culture” Photography Contest, the footwear culture cartoon contest, and the footwear industry e-commerce forum.
