Abstract: The promotion of industry-backed poverty alleviation is the most important measure to reduce poverty. It is the main part of development-oriented poverty alleviation with Chinese characteristics and plays a significant role in increasing the income of poor households and enhancing their self-development ability. However, poverty alleviation industries are usually trapped by weak competitiveness and low efficiency, weak ability of business entities and lack of management personnel, insufficient endogenous development force, and limited marketing channels. After making decisive progress in the fight against poverty, we need to enhance the industrial development in less-developed regions and maintain the income increase of previous poor households, incorporate the poverty alleviation industries into the framework of rural industry revitalization, strive to improve quality and efficiency of industries and enhance market competitiveness, make efforts to cultivate market entities and management personnel, strengthen the driving effect of business entities on farmers, adjust and improve the organization and promotion mode of governments according to the industrial development law, boost the sales of products by poverty alleviation industries in line with the law of commerce, and promote consumption in poor areas through public welfare activities and charity programs.
