Abstract: As a melting pot of eastern and western culture, Singapore is an important global trade and investment hub playing a special and important role in global economic governance. Through visiting several government departments and well-known enterprises in Singapore, the DRC team has conducted an in-depth research on the current international economic landscape. The research findings show that Singapore has sensed changes in the international economic and trade environment early since China-U.S. trade frictions emerged, and developed clear understandings on the future trend of the inevitable trade frictions and their impacts on the global economy. It has shown in-depth insights on the complexity of the international political and economic landscape. Singapore has attached great importance to investment in and cooperation with China and supported the building of an open global economic system, providing references for China to widen its opening up.
