Abstract: From September 1- 6, 2019, the second meeting of dialogues between Asian scholars and officials from the UN and International Organizations was held in Geneva. A delegation composed of scholars from China, Japan, South Korea and Mongolia and officials from international agencies including the United Nations, the World Trade Organization and UNCTAD exchanged views on hot issues such as the reform of global governance system, trade frictions and etc. They all agreed that major changes have taken place in the world economic situation and the connotations of globalization and with the enhancement of Asia’s role in the world affairs, it is urgent for international organizations to make corresponding adjustments and reforms. China’s overall influence in the international organizations has increased. In the management and operation of international organizations and in handling international affairs, China’s stance, views, and approach have all received major concern. The international community expects China to play a greater role and assume more responsibilities in the reform of international organizations such as the WTO, but the premise is that China needs to effectively promote reform and opening up and actively respond to the concerns of relevant parties. Relevant policy options are put forward in this paper based on a summary of the meeting minutes.
