Abstract: Logistics modernization is a process evolving from traditional logistics to modern and future logistics. To promote the modernization of logistics is of great significance for improving the efficiency of national economic operation, promoting economic growth, accelerating the adjustment and optimization of industrial structure, facilitating the foreign trade, improving people's living standards and turning China into a strong logistics power in the world. The development of logistics modernization in China is quite limited; the concepts of market entities and the business models are not advanced; infrastructure network remains to be fleshed out due to unreasonable structure and insufficient systems. Besides, various elements and advanced technical equipment supply need to be strengthened; the organization operation efficiency needs to be improved; sustainable development ability needs to be promoted; and the institutional mechanisms need to be perfected. To promote the modernization of logistics is of great importance for improving the efficiency of national economic performance, speeding up economic growth, accelerating the adjustment and optimization of industrial structure, facilitating foreign trade, raising people's living standards, and turning China into a strong logistics power in the world. It is necessary for us to vigorously promote the modernization of logistics concepts and business models as well as the modernization of logistics infrastructure, logistics elements and technical equipment, logistics organization operation, environmental logistics and logistics system.
