Premier Li Keqiang and visiting French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault agreed on Dec 6 to promote nuclear cooperation and streamline visa procedures to cement bilateral relations.
The two countries decided to jointly explore the global nuclear power markets, while pushing through existing nuclear power cooperation projects.
From 2014, France will cut the days of handling short-term visit visas for Chinese tourists to two.
The decisions were made during a talk between Li and Ayrault on Dec 6.
It is Ayrault's first visit to China in his capacity of French prime minister. His visit followed French President Francois Hollande's visit to China in April.
The two countries will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2014.
