No 5 Snapchat ($16 billion)
Snapchat, which famously turned down a $3 billion takeover offer from Facebook in 2013, is now worth more than five times that. The four-year-old app, which allows users to send each other images that are deleted almost immediately, has raised around $1.2 billion from investors.
