?Shanghai Hongqiao Airport shortens cut-off time ahead of Spring Festival
Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport shortened cut-off time for domestic flights to 35 minutes or less from 40 min effective starting Friday, in an attempt to further enhance passengers' traveling experience, according to the Shanghai Airport (Group) Co Ltd.
The cut-off time is the last moment passengers can check in and check their luggage for a particular flight.
By adopting measures such as unified operating standards and digital applications, the airport achieved this optimization, aiming to better serve passengers during the upcoming Spring Festival travel rush. The travel rush begins on Jan 14 and lasts until Feb 22, according to the Shanghai Airport (Group) Co Ltd.
The new cut-off time refers to 35 min before the flight's scheduled departure. The set of flight cut-off time ensures that airports and airlines have sufficient time to complete more than 10 tasks before flight take-off and to ensure the safety and punctuality of the flight.
