The G828 high-speed train departed from Xi'anbei Railway Station at 11:04 am on Jan 5, marking the official launch of the direct high-speed rail service between Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, and Hong Kong. This is also the first high-speed rail service connecting Northwest China to Hong Kong.

The G828/5 train passed through stations such as Huashanbei, Luoyang Longmen, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Changshanan, Guangzhounan, and Shenzhenbei, arriving at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station at 9:09 pm.
The entire journey took 10 hours and 5 minutes, while the G826/7 train departed Hong Kong West Kowloon at 9:07 am and arrived in Xi'an at 8:01 pm, taking 10 hours and 54 minutes.

The Xi'an-Hong Kong direct service operates daily in both directions. The trains, CR400BF-Z "Fuxing" intelligent EMU units, offer passengers a comfortable travel experience with ample capacity.
