As the Year of the Snake draws near, Fujian has officially released Fu Bao, an image IP of Fu culture, along with a themed poster to promote Fu culture (fu meaning happiness and blessings), and establish a distinctive cultural brand with distinct Fujian characteristics.
Fu Bao, a specially designed image rooted in the essence of Fu culture, features a male character adorned with a wave hat and auspicious cloud patterns, as well as a female character wearing zanhua, a floral headdress and attire, inspired by elements like the water sleeves of Min Opera.
This depiction of Fu Bao is said to highlight the vibrant regional culture of Fujian, joining hands with the themed poster, symbolizing a vision of courageously moving forwards and embracing the challenges of the upcoming year.
Fujian, the only province in China named after Fu, has actively pursued the industrial and modern transformation of Fu culture in recent years.
The unveiling of the image IP of Fu culture is said to mark a significant stride in Fujian's efforts to craft a compelling narrative around the Fu culture brand.
