Legoland Shanghai Resort held a series of exclusive recruitment events on Dec 15 and 19, in the Jinshan district of Shanghai, where the resort is located, ramping up efforts ahead of its opening in the summer of 2025.

The events aimed to onboard 239 talents across 13 positions in operation, food and beverage, hotel and retail departments. Over 1,900 online applicants and 1,100 resumes were received at the events. After screening and follow-up interviews, the employees will begin to be on boarded from February to April 2025.

"The roles we are hiring for are meticulously designed. Once onboard, we'll provide comprehensive training on our culture, service, skills, safety and more to ensure staff can deliver a premier guest experience," said Li Ying, who is in charge of recruitment at Legoland Shanghai Resort.

This initial recruitment drive is just the beginning. The resort plans a mass hiring push in February 2025 to bring over 1,500 employees on board, including seasonal gigs, intern positions and full-time staff. More than three exclusive recruitment events are slated, alongside talent partnerships with over 10 universities and colleges.

Accommodations are also complete, with the 320-room Lezhu Community staff dormitory, complete with common rest areas, opening on Nov 27 to house employees.

Legoland Shanghai Resort is the ultimate Lego theme park and hotel destination. It will feature over 75 interactive rides, shows and attractions, as well as thousands of LEGO models crafted with more than 85 million LEGO bricks across eight immersive lands.
