African people hold great admiration for Chinese athletes

Luc Bendza, the first representative of the African Film Association (AFA) in China, was once a martial artist. In 1983, at the age of just 14, he came from Gabon to the Shaolin Temple in Henan to learn Chinese Kung Fu. He also previously served as a torchbearer for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and expressed that African people greatly admire Chinese athletes like Lin Dan, Guo Jingjing, and Ma Lin.
He also noted that sports exchanges are conducive to fostering friendship between China and Africa.
