Bosideng unveils collection in Paris
The prestigious Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris buzzed with excitement on Monday as Bosideng, the global down jacket company, unveiled its "Fusion" capsule collection in a conceptual fashion show.
As a part of the ongoing "Reviving Craft: Chinese Handicrafts and Contemporary Design" exhibition, held at the same museum until July 19, the event celebrated the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between France and China, as well as the Franco-Chinese Year of Cultural Tourism in 2024.
Against the grand backdrop of the museum, guests were immersed in Chinese savoir-faire as envisioned by Bosideng's Chief Designer Zhu Lin.
The collection showcased 30 bold silhouettes, featuring impressive elegance in silk jacquards and feather-light down jackets. The essence of Eastern fashion was revealed through ancient totems, auspicious knot buttons, and delicate embroideries of pavilions and birds, with swirling motifs celebrating life.
Bosideng's "Fusion" collection attempts to blend traditional Chinese craftsmanship with modern design. The line features elements inspired by China's cultural heritage, reimagined for contemporary fashion.
"Fusion" exemplifies a responsible approach to sustainable development, showcased through the use of natural fibers like mulberry silk and traditional vegetable dyes, according to the press release.
The event showcased the unique charm of the Bosideng brand and conveyed its determination to remain open and inclusive while continuing its development in the international market.
