Exception de Mixmind released the 2024 Spring/Summer collection in Guangzhou
Exception de Mixmind, a homegrown fashion label known for designs imbued with understated elegance and striking traditional Chinese aesthetics, released its 2024 Spring/Summer collection on Friday in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province, during the 2023 China (Guangzhou) International Fashion Industry Conference.
The ceramic ware produced by Ding kiln, one of the "five great kilns" in ancient China which was famous for its white glazed porcelain in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), and liaoling, a type of exquisite damask silk mainly worn by the royals in ancient China, especially the Tang Dynasty (618-907), are the two sources of inspiration for creating the new ready-to-wear collection.
Colors such as white, black, pale yellow and smoke green are featured in the collection to evoke the wearer's poetic imagination of the Orient. A wide range of materials including silk, linen, acetate, jacquard, and denim are cut into sleek and minimalist pieces that strike viewers as soft sculptures, according to the brand.
