BIFT looks back on a year of creation
A one-year creation by a team of teachers and students from the School of Fine Arts at the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, covering a wide range of disciplines, including Chinese painting, oil painting, illustration, sculpture, public art, dyeing and weaving, and clothing, Textile and Fashion Technology Thematic Art Exhibition, is running at the BIFT until Nov 14.
Zou Feng, the dean of School of Art and Design at BIFT, said the exhibition highlights the school's characteristic integration of arts and crafts, and fully reflects its openness and tolerance.
"The school actively integrates new liberal arts and engineering, traditional philosophy and contemporary culture, art and technology, life and fashion, and looks back on its own research through an interdisciplinary perspective in search of new breakthroughs in the field of clothing research," he said.
Zhou Zhijun, Party secretary of the BIFT, said that in recent years, the institute has focused on the study of Chinese dress culture, and has made a series of breakthroughs in this regard and in the training of talent.
