Shiyan tourism authority sets policies to encourage Xi'an tourists
The Shiyan Cultural and Tourism Promotion Conference was held in Xi'an, Shaanxi province on Monday.
The Shiyan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism announced four favorable policies for spring tourism in 2023 during the conference, including a special fund to encourage travel agents to bring tourists to visit Shiyan.
One highlight of the policies is that Wudang Mountain scenic area is issuing electronic tourism annual cards for Xi'an tourists, which allow unlimited visits to the mountain.
According to Wu Shanhong, head of the Cultural and Tourism Bureau of Shiyan, the city is currently working toward building a "green and low-carbon development demonstration zone", and is welcoming tourists with its abundant travel recourses.
During the event, Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the Shiyan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism jointly signed a strategic cooperation agreement on cultural and tourism development between the two cities.
Several universities in Xi'an, including Northwest University, Shaanxi Normal University and Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology signed cooperation agreements on-site with the management committee of the Wudang Mountain Tourism Economic Zone, expressing their intention to cooperate and use Wudang Mountain as a research and study base.
