The fourth CIIE set to welcome new brands and products from across the globe
Organizers have pushed to include more companies from previously underrepresented nations
The business exhibition at the fourth China International Import Expo next year will focus on specific fields and feature brands from different countries, organizers said.
The fourth CIIE will continue to offer six exhibition areas for food and agricultural products, automobiles, intelligent industry and information technology, consumer goods, medical equipment and healthcare products and also trade in services.
Next year's event will have more divisions in the consumer goods and explore domestic consumption potential. The area is expected to aid China's new economic development pattern of "dual circulation", which was first put forward in May and relies on domestic circulation to drive its international circulation.
The sports subsection will double the exhibition area of this year's expo.
Different from the current subsection that highlights sports equipment and competitions, it will invite companies from parts of the entire industrial chain of sports and launch products and projects related to science and technology-based sports.
Next year's CIIE will add a family entertainment area for exhibitors of video games, sound equipment and musical instruments.
In the makeup and daily-use chemical hall, the fourth CIIE will focus on how consumption will make life better, bringing in feature brands of different countries to display their latest items.
The event will divide the fashion and artworks section into three areas - bags, suitcases and shoes, apparel and accessories, and watches and jewelries.
Based on increased demand from domestic consumers, it will add an area for fast fashion brands.
The food and agricultural products area will focus on environmental protection and health. There has been a special committee set up in the area on the diary industry. Next year, the special committee will be of greater significance as to lead the industry toward innovation.
The vegetable and fruit section will center on concepts of smart agriculture and technological innovation, inviting more European enterprises to join.
The beverage and alcohol area aims to attract local chateus from different regions, as well as their products. Enterprises are encouraged to hold master classes for wine and tasting activities.
It will also demonstrate functional beverage products based on health.
As for the trade in services area, the fourth CIIE will focus on big data, cloud service and new-type infrastructure construction.
It will highlight artificial intelligence services.
Next year, the financial service area will invite more financial companies besides banks.
