Li Yingying scored a game-high 40 points to pace Bohai Bank Tianjin for their fifth title of the Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship, beating Supreme Chonburi from Thailand 3-1 (25-18, 35-33, 16-25, 25-19) in the final here on Sunday.

Li was crowned the tournament's best player and best outside spiker while Yao Di was named the best setter.

The first set saw Tianjin raise a scoring wave to expand the lead from 14-11 to 19-13 and conclude it 25-18.

Supreme Chonburi, the consecutive two-time champions, had a good chance in the second set when they led 24-21, before Tianjin saved three set points and took the thrilling set 35-33.

Supreme Chonburi regrouped to pull one set back 25-16 with their well-placed serves and fast attacks.

Both sides traded points from the beginning of the fourth set until the hosts led by 20-19 and sealed the victory with a 5-0 run.

"I am glad that we keep the trophy in Tianjin, and what makes me feel happier is our young players learned both lessons and experiences from this tournament, that is valuable for us when we play the domestic league and international competitions in the future," said Tianjin head coach Chen Youquan.

In the tournament's third-place match, Hisamitsu Seiyaku Springs from Japan rallied from one set down for a 3-1 (28-30, 25-21, 25-19, 25-13) win over Altay of Kazakhstan.
